Armed Escort Vessels

Elite Maritime Protection Services Limited, in conjunction with a joint venture contract, are now able to offer the services of armed escort vessels,  to compliment our current onboard security teams.

The escort vessels provided, are manned by experienced former Maritime Military  personnel and are equipped with the latest early warning systems. Our vessels’  are fully licensed to perform maritime anti-piracy tasks and to carry firearms onboard.

The mere presence of a fast, resilient camouflaged vessel bearing armed personnel and deck mounted arms, in addition to armed personnel onboard the escorted vessel, is often sufficient  to deter and discourage the most determined pirates  from an attack situation.

This service is particularly attractive to private owners of displacement or semi-displacement motor yachts, who are relocating their vessels between Mediterranean and Indian Ocean destinations.

This service is also invaluable to slow speed, low freeboard, commercial vessels, whilst transiting the pirate occupied waters of the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean.

Our onboard security teams will join your vessel in a safe port, usually, Suez or Jeddah heading south from the Mediterranean, Salalah heading north from the Persian Gulf, or an Indian port or island heading across the Indian Ocean. Our escort vessel will then  meet your vessel at a pre-arranged sea area, prior to pirate occupied waters, where licensed arms will be transferred to the onboard security team and the escort will then commence through to the vessel’s pre-arranged safe port destination. The vessel will be hardened and the crew will be trained in anti-piracy procedures by the initial onboard team, prior to rendezvous with the escort vessel.

Piracy attacks are escalating and counter measures are ever evolving. We are determined to offer our clients the best possible  up to date service, in order to protect their vessels and inspire the crew,  enabling them to confidently complete their passage and reach their destination safely without incident.
